Golf Course

Sand Valley’s Championship Course extends over 80 hectares of picturesque Polish country side. Rated by Golf World as TOP 100 Course in Europe it is the Home for the Lotos Polish Open of 2013 and 2014 (a Pro Golf Tour event). The resort offers a 18 hole championship course (par 72), 6 hole par 3 course, roofed 20 bay driving range and a large practice putting green.

Tilander-Ristola co-designed Inland Links layout offers wide rumbling fairways and challenging green sites that are the foundation for an exciting round of golf. Everything is tied together by the vast waste bunkers, clever routing and 18 memorable holes that all have their own story to tell.

Course Guide

Hole 1
Hole 1

Par 4, 349 meters

Beware of the out-of-bounds on the right. Anywhere on the fairway is good, but playing to the middle will afford the best view of the green. Short is always the best place to miss the green.

Hole 2
Hole 2

Par 4, 399 meters

Aim between the pine tree and the waste bunker on the right. Long hitters can cut the corner for a better angle into the green. From the left, the greenside bunkers on the front left come to play.

Hole 3
Hole 3

Par 3, 130 meters

Take aim at the flag and hope for the best. If the flag is in the front bowl, you don’t want to be long. And don’t forget to account for the wind.

Hole 4
Hole 4

Par 4, 399 meters

Ideal drive is to the left of the two central fairway bunkers. This will give you a good look at the green, as well as a better angle for your second shot, whether you are laying up on the left or going for the green in two. The green is very shallow, so bouncing your ball on is the preferred play.

Hole 5
Hole 5

Par 4, 303 meters

A semi-blind tee shot. Aim just right of the left greenside bunker that is visible to the tee. Drives drifting right might catch one of the fairway bunkers cutting into the hillside. A chip-and-run shot works best into this heavily contoured green.

Hole 6
Hole 6

Par 4, 430 meters

Favour the right side of the fairway, as this will get you a shorter second shot as well as the best angle of attack into the green. Don’t go long as balls going over the green invariably end up in the river.

Hole 7
Hole 7

Par 4, 406 meters

The line off the tee depends on how ambitious you are, as the further right you go, the shorter the second shot will be. You will gain better angle into the green by going left but conversely the shot is much longer from this side.

Hole 8
Hole 8

Par 5, 528 meters

Anywhere on the wide fairway is good off the tee, but the right side gives you a better angle and some distance advantage for your second shot. Those going for the green in two, should aim 20 meters left of the ‘A’ –shaped bunker face that is just visible from the right side of the fairway.

Hole 9
Hole 9

Par 4, 368 meters

The fairway will feed balls from right to left, so aim straight at the big pine tree. Green sits on a plateau on the far-side of a canyon, so the approach is all carry. Make sure to have enough club and only attack the left pin if you absolutely need to make a birdie.

Hole 10
Hole 10

Par 3, 209 meters

Right of the fairway bunker is the optimal line, although much riskier drive than playing to the left. Back of the green slopes away, so if the flag is at the back the clever shot might be to run one in.

Hole 11
Hole 11

Par 4/5, 451 meters

Right of the fairway bunker is the optimal line, although much riskier drive than playing to the left. Back of the green slopes away, so if the flag is at the back the clever shot might be to run one in.

Hole 12
Dołek 12

Par 5, 495 meters

Image is not available

Hit a driver or a fairway wood towards the right fairway. Depending on the result, you can play a safe short-iron onto the high fairway on the left or to hit a mid-iron at the two spruces visible through the gap in the waste bunker. There is no fairway between the landing area and the green, so you must stay well left of the flag.

Hole 13
Hole 13

Par 4, 320 meters

Image is not available

Start your drive some 20 meters right of the green in the distance and the fairway should feed your ball close to the green. Once again, a running shot might be the best way to stay on the green. Green slopes hard from right to left.

Hole 14
Hole 14

Par 3, 183 meters

Image is not available

Aim between the two greenside bunkers and try to stay below the hole. Use the green contours to your advantage when the pin is extreme left.

Hole 15
Hole 15

Par 5, 555 meters

Image is not available

Drive just to the right of the second fairway bunker. Then pick a line you are comfortable with, while trying not to go too far right as this leaves a blind third shot. There’s space to the right of the green so no need to put it in the river.

Hole 16
Hole 16

Par 4, 293 meters

Image is not available

Aim at the flag on the tenth green to stay clear of the water on the left. There is more room to the right than would first seem. Around the green, leave your wedges in your bag.

Hole 17
Hole 17

Par 3, 216 meters

Image is not available

Start a long-iron or a fairway wood to the right of the flag. All balls carrying the bunker break hard from right to left.

Hole 18
Hole 18

Par 4, 375 meters

Image is not available

Favour the left side of the fairway, as the right side of the fairway kicks all balls towards trouble on the right. The green is long and steep so good distance control is critical.
